How does it work?
While the unit (CarPlay Head unit) is inactive, the original video signal is passed unchanged and your car works as before.
After activating the CarPlay Head unit, the CarPlay unit video signal is shown on the display instead.
When you reverse the car while using the CarPlay system, the system will automatically switch to the camera without manual operation.
You can easily switch system back and forth between the unit and your original head unit.
(TIPS: Press and hold the “Menu” key to switch the system)
This is a multimedia touch screen with built-in compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Google Android auto. It will replace your OEM screen and add the following features to your car:
- Apple CarPlay (wired and wireless)
- Android Auto (wired)
- Play video or music from USB
The head unit Built-in microphone and supports Siri and Google Assistant either via voice keyword (‘Hey Siri’ / ‘Okay Google’) or by long-pressing the steering wheel voice button.

Damages and issues

My order was missing an item however they resolved it without issue.
The person who was helping was great. The told me if I didn__ have a aux out put the radio will not have sounds. That was good customer service to me
This unit is awesome, no instructions provided for install, however its fairly straight forward. I downloaded pdf from Wakaa website as I had to take the fibre optic cable from original adapter and move it to the Wakaa adapter on the head unit.
There are some artifacts on the screen due to the screen being stretched when using the original BMW I drive but not to bad. When connecting Android auto it works a treat including controlling from I drive control.
All in all a great little unit, good sound, crisp picture and very responsive.

The customer service is great , you all kept me informed the whole time in where and when I would receive my package.. The only thing that was needed us the instructions in English and my Bluetooth and sound for Carplay is not working so I'm researching for my auxiliary so it can
Head unit arrived as it was described. The only problem was when everything was installed aux was not working. No sound coming out from android auto or app.
I doubled checked all installation all was according in instruction. Easy install. Amature can even figure it out. I think they may have send me a damage wiring harness due to no aux sound for android.
The rest work accordingly.
Price is fair for the headunit and ahipping is fast.
I have tried communication to them to semd me another harness and hoping they will.
