How does it work?
While the unit (CarPlay Head unit) is inactive, the original video signal is passed unchanged and your car works as before.
After activating the CarPlay Head unit, the CarPlay unit video signal is shown on the display instead.
When you reverse the car while using the CarPlay system, the system will automatically switch to the camera without manual operation.
You can easily switch system back and forth between the unit and your original head unit.
(TIPS: Press and hold the “Menu” key to switch the system)
This is a multimedia touch screen with built-in compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Google Android auto. It will replace your OEM screen and add the following features to your car:
- Apple CarPlay (wired and wireless)
- Android Auto (wired and wireless)
- Play video or music from USB
The head unit Built-in microphone and supports Siri and Google Assistant either via voice keyword (‘Hey Siri’ / ‘Okay Google’) or by long-pressing the steering wheel voice button.

NOTE: This unit is not an Android system. You must be connected to your phone (wired or wireless) to use CarPlay and Android auto functions. Without a mobile phone connected, you can only use the OEM system or simple music and video playback functions.

Damages and issues

I installed the 10.25” screen in a 2015 F30 328i and it fit perfectly, everything works great and I love the apple CarPlay feature.
Shipped quickly. Installation wasn’t too bad, wish there was an install guide paper that came with it. There was a video I found but was kind of hard to follow. The product itself works great most of the time, only issue I have is that sometimes when I call using the CarPlay it doesn’t give me any audio so I have to transfer it to my phone. Otherwise it works flawlessly, all buttons work on the steering wheel with it, as well as the center console wheel. Overall I do enjoy the purchase especially for the price. Just the phone call thing holding it back from a 5-star review! Thanks!!
When you make a call, you need to connect iPhone Bluetooth to the CarPlay screen instead of OEM Bluetooth.

Hi I bought a waka hea unit after I istall
the unit has two problems, no audio when is in carply and whe the unit is in original car the image is to big and don't let me see part of the menu, can you help me with that.
I have sent you an email and urged the logistics company. There will be delays in logistics updates during this period, please give us some time.
Installed the head unit no issues working well until today. Was very happy with it. Today it asked me to reconnect wifi/Bluetooth. My phones do not see the wifi or Bluetooth signal. The BMW UI works fine and it connects to the BMWb Bluetooth no problem. Sent a note to service I am hopeful they could help. I will update this review after I connect with service.
Review update brought it to 4 stars as the USB connection allows me to have CarPlay and its working well. I originally did not add the USB cord as wanted to use it wirelessly. I am still communicating with support about the wifi connectivity to do CarPlay wirelessly; if I get that to work I will upgrade to 5 stars.
